1. Vaman : Drug induce Emesis

2. Virechan : Drug induce Purgation

3. Basti : Enema

4. Nasya : Shirovirechan, Nasal Insufflation

5. Raktamokshan : Blood letting.

* Panchkarma Means a classical treatment in the ayurveda to purify whole body. It is an as like a system of oiling and servicing for whole body. It is a system to cure any disease. It is a system to pull out the toxins from the whole body. It is detoxify the whole body and beautification. Purification of internal organs by eliminating toxins and refining the whole system. The deep pore cleansing and exfoliating by Panchakarma. It relax stress of body and refresh mind. There is no side effect but we get side benefits also. It improve the metabolism. To remains healthy long life, we advocate a treatment of Panchkarma. The medicine will have best effect after purify the body by Panchkarma as a good washed cloth. Please get advice before doing any kind of operation. By implication of Panchkarma major, one can get rid off the unnecessary painful operation.

Vaman : It is a drug induce emesis. Vaman means stomach washing. Vomiting is not a proper word for Vaman. There is a word ‘ Chhardi’ for vomiting in ayurveda. Stomach is completely washed out by Vaman. It is a system to pull out a cough and Pitta. Vasant rhutu is a best time for vaman due to natural support. Vasant is a rhutu for cough prakop.

Vaman is indicates in Cough, cold, rhinitis, sinusitis, bronchitis, asthma, glands, acidity, jaundice, skin disease, psoriasis, sickle cell, luecoderma, etc.

   Virechan : • It is a drug induce purgation. Virechan means a washing of small intestine. Diarrhea is different from Virechan. It is a system to pull out Pitta and other toxins. Sharad rhutu is a best for virechan due to natural support. Sharad is a rhutu for Pitta prakop. Virechan is indicates most of disease because all disease are start from constipation.

• Basti : • It is an enema. But Basti is not given only with aims for purgation. It is the oiling and servicing of large intestine a colon. It is a system to pull out vatdosh from whole body. Basti indicates most of disease but specially vatdosh. Anticough and antipitta drugs will add in Basti. Motor neuron disease are cure surely by Basti.

 Uttarbasti: Basti which is enter in uterus called uttarbasti. It is used debug from uterus as fibroids, swelling of uterus wall, leucorrhea, menorrhagia. It improves the fertility of uterus. It cures the disease of uterus. After stopping the mensruation bleedding to approx 10 days, is right time to apply the uttarbasti.

• Nasya : • It is a nasal insufflation . It calls Shiro virechan also. It is the oiling and servicing of the head. It is a system to pull out toxins from the head. Nasya indicates all the diseases of head and neck. Different drugs are apply in different diseases in Nasya.

• Raktamokshan : • It is a toxic blood letting. It is a system to pull out toxins from blood serum. It is purify the blood. Raktamokshan indicates all skin diseases, pain due to toxic blood, high blood pressure.

Shirodhara

It is a famous remedy in keralian traditional Panchakarma. A soothing stream of warm liquid poured over the forehead in a profoundly relaxing Ayurvedic treatment. It will remain fifteen to thirty minutes only. This is the spot where the Agyachakra in prana sharira according to the Yoga. We use in restorative therapy and one of the step involved in panchakarma.

It is beneficial to psychic disorders as insomnia, tress, hypertension, schizophrenias, allergies, headaches, concentration problems and gently calms the central nervous system.

Massage: Rub and scrub the skin with medicated herbal oil with skill and ayurvedic techniques call ayurvedic massage. Ancient time, all peoples had do massage daily who can afford and they lived long life with good health. Massage increases blood circulation at the skin and remove dryness, of the skin. Therefore, it improves the beauty, softness, glow and smartness of the skin. It removes the muscular tension also. It lubricates all joints and removes the pains of whole body. It improves strengthen of the body. It has done rejuvenation the skin cells. You look as younger than present age. You feel well. It refreshes the mind and removes the stress and depressions. If we do massage regular to the psychic patient, he will get rid off. The medicated oil enters in the pores of the skin by massage, it debug from the cells and feeds the cells also. Skin becomes tier than before.

Udvartanam: Rub and scrub the skin with ayurvedic powder with skill and ayurvedic techniques after the massage call Udvartanam. It removes oil from pores of the skin, open the pores and improves the beauty, glow and smartness.

Steam-bath: One should enter in the steam-yanta(machine) and bath with medicated steam. It heats the whole body. Therefore, the holes of the skin open and sweat comes out from the body. The body toxins come out with sweat. Thus, cleans the body, removes the pains and ailments. Steam-bath melts the doshas and fat as per ayurveda. Therefore, it reduces the weight also. Melt doshas will go to koshth due to steam bath as per ayurveda.

Ghrut pan: Orally, intake medicated ghee or taila (herbal oil) calls ‘ Ghrut pan ‘. There is decided dose to take ghrut as per digestion power at the morning in empty stomach with hot water or milk or else one which prescribe by vaidya(an ayurvedic doctor). He must obey the special instructions as bellow: 1. He must drink hot water only. 2. He must not stay at wind, touch cold water. 3. He must not do day sleep, sex, journey, exercise, labor work, anger, sorrow, high volume communication and eating with indigestion. According to ayurveda, ghrut pan dilutes the doshas and separates from the dhatus. Separated doshas will go to koshth from shakhas(branches) and than doshas(toxins) will get out by panchakarma. Thus, detoxifying the body, strengths of body and cure the diseases. Improve the sex desire, sex ability(power), sex time and remove sex disorders.

Manyabasti- first we have to lie down on chest portion at the bed. Then we make round wall with black gram ata on the spine and between the shoulders. Then we fill this round portion with ayurvedic hot oil, after 15 to 20 minute we remove hot oil. Then massage on the spine for few minute and give heat. It is lubricating the spine, removing pain and vata dosha.

    Katibasti-it is applied as Manyabasti on the lumber or waist portion of the spine. It lubricates the spine, removing pain and vata dosha(rubbish).

   Janubasti- it is apply on the knee as Manyabasti. It is lubricating the knee joint, removing pain and vata dosha.

Hrudyabasti- it is apply on the chest at the heart as Manyabasti. It removes the heart pains, strengthens cardiac muscles and cures the heart disease.

Lepanam: Soak the ayurvedic powder with decided liquid and apply on the skin call Lepanam according to ayarveda. Lepanam will remove after it dry. It opens the pores and sucks the water and toxin from the surface of skin. It removes joint pains, swellings and edema.

Mastishkya: When Lapanam is applying on head, it calls Mastishkya. It opens the pores and suck toxins from surface of the head. It removes headache, tress, heat of the head, hair problems as hair falls, baldness, oily hair, thin hair, short hair, etc.
